Its a new month and that means a new topic. Throughout this month we are going to look at the past simple tense among other things. Certainly you have met the past simple before so this shouldn’t be too difficult. So this is some revision for you to help you remember how to use the past simple tense correctly. What is the past simple?
The Past Simple tense, also called the Simple Past, is used for past actions that happened either at a specific time, which can either be given by a time phrase (yesterday, last year, etc.) or understood from the context.
Regular Verbs add -ed to the base form, or -d if the verbs ends with -e.
play – played, watch – watched, tie – tied

Irregular verbs can change in many different ways.
am/are – was/were, eat – ate, drink – drank
